About the Founder
My name is Monica Mercer, owner and advocate of New Walk Senior Care Management. I bring over 15 years of healthcare experience, with a passion for senior care that began in 2008 at Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, California. What started as a role in HR soon led me to hands-on work with patients, where I discovered a deep connection with the elderly community.
That passion guided my transition into home care, where I served as Lead Scheduler at Cambrian Homecare, managing over 200 caregivers and nurses. After moving to Texas, I continued my work at Sure Care at Home and later became Care Team Manager at Right at Home, where I oversaw scheduling, care coordination, recruiting, and HR functions.
In 2022, I earned my Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration, further strengthening my leadership and advocacy skills. New Walk Senior Care Management was born from a calling to support seniors and their families through aging with dignity, compassion, and personalized guidance.
